TOW — Troop Organizational Weekend

When – February 12, 13, and 14
TOW is the time when the scouts get together and plan out at least the next 6 months of troop activities.
o Every scout there gets to provide ideas
o Every scout in the troop has a say in the troop plans
o Scout leadership is elected or appointed if needed!!! Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leaders, ASPLs, APLs, Quartermasters, Historians, etc.

Winter Camp ‘09

What: December Campout – Winter Camp
This campout will be at the Swingin’ D Ranch in Telephone, Texas or at Bohnam State Park where Troop 442 will hold their own version of Winter Camp. Merit badge classes will be offered and if possible will be completed.
Where: Swingin’ D Ranch or (Bohnam State Park if too much rain at the ranch)
When: Sunday – Thursday / December 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31
Depart: Check-in Sunday, December 27, at 5:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Sachse (Class A uniform)
Return: Thursday, December 31, Approx. 12:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Sachse

Christmas Caroling — Sharing the good news!

It’s time to give –Gleeful Tidings– \o/

Scouts will sing Christmas Carols at Two Wylie Nursing Homes, then have fun with 1 hour of Whirly ball, one Laser Tag game then Pizza!

When : Saturday December 19
Where: Hillcrest Nursing Home & Garnett Hill Nursing Home, then Whirly ball in Plano
Depart: Check-in 8: 45 am FUMC Sachse (Class A uniform with Class B underneath)
Return: Approx. 3:30 or 4:00 pm FUMC Sachse
Cost: $18.00 for each scout for games, pizza and a drink one full hour of Whirly ball this year instead of only 30 minutes.

Fall Service Project

Please bring any lawn equipment you can such as rakes, weed eaters, lawn mowers, and any other equipment that you think would help.

Adventure Landing — Fun Event

The theme for this outing will be shotgun shooting. Our Scouts will be working to qualify for their Shotgun Shooting merit badge. Adults are invited to come shoot and to help supervise.
